Zigzag 05
3D print design by
Martin Žampach
The ZIGZAG vase collection was designed to test the limits of 3D printing. Normally, 3D printing technology is used more for prototyping, where the aesthetic result is not very important. In the case of designing an interior accessory, a vase, I wanted to take advantage of the visual disadvantage of FDM technology, the layering of material. So I use layering as a strong aesthetic element. I spent many hours testing and optimizing the correct shape settings for the vase print. This resulted in an original design that tests the limits of the bevelled surfaces that are emblematic of the ZIGZAG collection.
