The inspiration for the 'Geodesic Sphere' lampshade stems from the ancient Greeks' love of geometry. The design takes advantage of the 3D print process to create large, strong hollow parts that weigh a lot less than you would think (assembled, the Sphere is less than 900g), therefore it is safe to hang on ceiling lamp wire without reinforcement. Made by 3D Printed Project Athens studio, based in Greece.
