This piece depicts a solitary figure patiently fishing, where the incense stick becomes the fishing rod. I designed it not just for aesthetics, but for a frustratingly common printing problem: overhangs.

Design & Concept

Printing a wide hat like this usually requires messy supports that ruin the surface finish. To solve this, I split the model into two parts. The hat prints flat on the plate, ensuring a perfect, smooth surface without any support scarring. The body prints separately, and the two parts snap together with precision tolerances—no glue required. The result is a clean, seamless silhouette that looks like a single cast piece.
