Introducing the Japanese Coaster Set + Box: six Japan inspired coasters painted in filament, resting inside a box that earns its keep. The lid hinges on a flexible TPU strap printed in place, four magnets snap it shut, and a metal insert under the base turns the whole thing into a bottle opener. Functional art from the first pour to the last cap.

Design & Concept
I wanted this set to feel like something you would find on a shelf in Kyoto, not on a print bed. Each coaster is built from ultra thin 0.08 mm layers of colored filament that overlap like brush strokes, mixing optically into shades a standard multicolor print cannot reach. The box follows the same philosophy of quiet craft: a fluted body, brush style calligraphy on the lid, and a closure I am particularly proud of. The TPU strap is locked into the piece with a beam joint while the printer works, so the hinge is born already assembled. Four hidden magnets do the rest, and the bottle opener underneath makes sure the box is never just sitting there.

Print in Place TPU Hinge: The flexible strap that closes the box is printed directly into the piece with a beam interlock during the print.

Built In Bottle Opener: A standard metal insert sits under the base, so the box that stores your coasters also opens the bottles they will serve.
One Multi Material Job: With an AMS compatible TPU, box and hinge print together in a single job.
